RESIDENTS are being invited to a feast in High Wycombe this weekend.

A quartet of chefs will be cooking up a host of culinary delights in a giant marquee that will be erected in the High Street for the ‘town feast’.

It is part of the third-annual Wycombe Harvest, which will also include stalls from food producers and the return of the Mayor of High Wycombe’s Tea Party under the Guildhall to raise money for charity.

HWBIDCo have teamed up with food experts Vidya Crawley and the Urban Rajah to organise the event, which kicks off at 11am on Saturday.

Gemma Field from HWBIDCo said: “There is so much talk about the decline of the High Street that we decided to use our food event this year to promote our strong sense of community in High Wycombe.

“We want people to pop down with friends and to enjoy some good food and some good conversation”.

The Urban Rajah will bring an ethnic flavour to the event that will complement and contrast with the other exhibitors and producers.

He said: "I'm thrilled to be part of Wycombe Harvest once again and, with a new format which is heavily focused on community dining and feasting, the event promises to be more intimate.

“Alongside a great line-up of producers and gastronomists, I'll be looking forward to demonstrating some home cooked recipes as well as dishing up Indian street food - come hungry."
