CHARITY minded freemasons are helping to keep the region’s air ambulance flying after donating around £35,000 to the charity this year.

The 21 lodges and 10 chapters which meet at the St Peter Street Masonic Centre in Marlow have made regular donations to the ambulance, which provides lifesaving assistance and rapid response to the Thames Valley and Chilterns area.

And as the latest cheque for £6500 was handed over to Sarah Williamson, head of fundraising for the charity, leading freemasons paid tribute to their colleagues for their generosity.

The Assistant Head of Marlow and Bucks Freemasons, John Clark, of Cottage Farm Way, Speen, Princes Risborough, says: “Hats off to all the Marlow Freemasons who have lived up to our principles of friendship, decency, and charity, by supporting this vital initiative.”
