A 78-YEAR-OLD pedestrian needed hospital treatment after being knocked down in a collision with a car in Wooburn Green last night.
The man was on the zebra crossing in Town Lane at around 11pm when he was involved in a collision with a black car.
The car driver briefly stopped to help the man but drove away without giving him his details, prompted police to appeal to the motorist to get in touch with them.
Officers investigating the collision say the driver was a young white man and he was driving what's described as a 'sporty' vehicle.
Police also want to speak to a second man driving a grey or silver vehicle who it's thought also stopped to help the victim, who remains in Wexham Park Hospital to receive treatment to an arm injury.
PC Sarah Phillips said: "I would like to speak to the driver of the car which was in collision with the pedestrian and also with the driver of the second vehicle who stopped at the scene shortly after the incident.
"The vehicle which was in collision with the pedestrian appears to have left skid marks at the scene which would have caused some noise and may have been heard by nearby residents."
Anyone with information can contact PC Phillips on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
