A SHOTGUN was fired at a resident’s front door in a sleepy Bucks village this week.
At around 10.30pm on Wednesday night, the occupant of a house in Meadow Way, Dorney Reach, spotted a man in his driveway.
After shouting out to see what he was doing there, the man drew a shotgun and fired towards the front door.
He then made off in a nearby parked car.
Minimal damage was caused to the front door and no-one was injured.
Det Sgt Nick Hind, from Force CID, said officers are investigating the circumstances and motives surrounding the incident.
He said: “I would urge anyone with any information to come forward. Perhaps someone saw the offender either arriving at the address or leaving. If so, I would very much like to hear from you.
“As part of our investigation, we have carried out house to house inquiries and local officers are in the area if residents wish to discuss any concerns.”
If you have any information please contact Det Sgt Hind via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
