OMAR Hussain called his family from overseas to tell them he would see them in heaven.

The Free Press can reveal the 27-year-old former Cressex school pupil phoned his family after leaving the country to say 'see you in Jannah'.

Hussain laughed about beheading enemies and spoke of his hatred for the UK in an interview with BBC's Newsnight in which he referred to himself as Awlaki.

Community figures said Hussain was a religious man who 'did not smile much'. It is understood he also had the nickname of 'The Mentalist' but no-one realised he had radacalised views.

Zahid Jawed from WISE said they rejected an offer from Hussain to help them with their charity work in Turkey after hearing he had been investigated by police.

He said: "His opinions do not reflect the views of Muslims who come to worship at the centre.

"WISE rejects the ideology of groups such as ISIS who use violence to overthrow governments and kill those who oppose their beliefs including other Muslims.

"Islam is a religion of moderation and aims to establish peace through good actions. It is heartbreaking to see people committing such acts of violence towards others.

"Omar did not express similar opinions to those heard in Newsnight according to those who knew him so it has come as a surprise to all.

"No Islamic centre in High Wycombe has views that would radicalise youngsters in this way."
