A COMMUNITY race, which has helped develop sports facilities in Wooburn Green by raising more than £15,000 since it began, will return to the village this weekend.
The Wooburn 10k was first held in 2003 in a bid for residents to raise money for a new sports pavilion in Wooburn Park.
After achieving their goal two years ago organisers have continued to raise money for more facilities in the area.
As well as holding the competitive 10k race, other entrants will also be catered for with a 3k fun-run for those who prefer shorter distances.
Children will also be able to take part with a series of sprint races being held.
Refreshments will be on offer too during the race on Sunday, September 14.
The race will start at 10.30am with runners starting and finishing in Wooburn Park.
