A SCHOOL hall was transformed into a pop up restaurant in Hazlemere to raise funds for infant and junior schools.

More than £1,500 was raised at the evening at Manor Farm Community Junior School to raise funds for both the infant and junior schools.

The Friends of Manor Farm Schools teamed up with Hazlemere business Polly's Kitchen to create a pop up restaurant in the school hall.

Former Masterchef contestant Polly Oxby created and cooked the meal; Rose Avenue Co-op provided much of the food and the waiting staff and the friends (PTA) worked hard to transform the hall into an elegant dining space.

Head teacher of Manor Farm Community Junior School, Andrew Sierant, said the evening was a wonderful example of how the community had worked together to make the evening work. Ellie Cheshire from the PTA said: "Our parents and grandparents are a wonderful and generous group of people. It was so good to create a special night for them and truly amazing to have such support from local business like Polly's Kitchen and Rose Avenue Co-op."
