WASPS rugby player James Haskell took a circuit class at the weekend at a gym fundraiser in Amersham.

The England rugby player taught the class at Target Human Performance's charity day to help raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

The gym also auctioned off a number of items of sports memorabilia including a Chris Froome Sky cycling top and a signed England rugby shirt.

Director James Golden said: "We set a target of raising £2,000 on the day and we managed to raise £3,500, so the day was a real success with over 300 people in attendance.

"The big attraction was the James Haskell circuit class and it didn’t disappoint. It was a superb session, thoroughly enjoyed by participants and spectators."

During the day they ran ten consecutive spinning classes and there were also kids activities, a barbecue and various stalls.

The charity is very close to the staff at THP due to one of their members losing a battle with leukaemia leaving behind his two-year-old daughter and young wife, who is a member there.
