A FIRST timer was one of the winners of the Eden Model Search yesterday - having been entered for the competition by his mum.

Nat Green from Loudwater was voted male winner of the High Wycombe shopping centre's search for a model at the culmination of its weekend fashion show.

The 17-year-old Bourne End Academy student was picked as one of the winners after impressing the judges as he strutted his stuff on a catwalk for the very first time.

But he said he wouldn't have entered the competition if he hadn't been pushed into it.

Nat said: "My mum signed me up and I said I'd do it. I was a bit hesitant at first but I saw all the likes on the Facebook page.

"I was really nervous to start with. It was better as it went on, I got more relaxed.

"This is my first time walking on a catwalk."

Asked if he would take up modelling full time, Nat said: "I enjoyed it but I don't know if it's something I'll get into."

The female winner of the model search was 21-year-old Vanessa Ndlovu from Shoeburyness in Essex.

The pair were picked after 20 finalists were whittled down to ten during the fashion show, before two boys and two girls were picked as finalists.

Both runners up hail from Amersham as 18-year-old Brian Donaghue was second place in the male search and 19-year-old Gabrielle Benna was runner up for the girls.

The lucky winners walked away with a whole host of great prizes including a £100 Eden gift card, a year’s gym membership at Eden’s Anytime Fitness, a photo-shoot, a meal at popular Eden eatery Frankie and Benny's, and free tickets to the Centre’s cinema and bowling attractions.
