RUNNERS navigating their way through the South Bucks countryside may well get a feeling of déjà vu this month, as a popular film and TV location provides the setting for the return of a popular race.

Hundreds are set to take on the Frieth Hilly on October 19, with the route near Marlow winding its way through the lush setting frequented by actors such as George Clooney, Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett on film shoots.

Zara Brown, one of the race organisers, said: "This challenging 10k and 5k running race along winding paths through dappled woodland and wildflower meadows is not called the ‘Hilly’ for nothing! "But any breath left at the top will be taken away by the scenery.

"Last year Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and George Clooney were all on location in the valley for different films. Although we can’t promise that any of them will be marshalling on the day!"

A registered charity, all funds raised from the Frieth Hilly go towards paying for IT at the village school.

There is still time to register for the race, which starts at 10am on Sunday, October 19 from Frieth School.
