CHILDREN will swap their witches hats for their thinking caps this month as a community library ask villagers to enter their new competition.
Invited to embrace the Halloween spirit early this year, Flackwell Heath children can win scary prizes by either writing Halloween-themed stories or painting pictures.
There are a number of prizes on offer for winners, including books, goodies and a family ticket to Odds Farm.
To enter the competition, bring your work to the library, in Chapel Road, by Monday, October 20.
