PARISH councillors say they are thrilled after the second phase of refurbishment was completed at a park in Tylers Green.

Ashley Park, near Ashley Drive, has been undergoing a makeover to ensure children in the area have new playground equipment.

As part of a three-ward initiative, Chepping Wycombe Parish (CWP) Council have set aside funding to ensure parks in Flackwell Heath, Loudwater and Tylers Green are rejuvenated.

CWP chairman and councillor for Tylers Green, Katrina Wood, said: “We are thrilled to have finally completed the first two phases of the refurbishment of Ashley Drive.

“And we do hope that young children will enjoy using the new equipment which includes new slides, climbing pieces and a spinning seat.”

As part of the councils plans, the recreation ground has had tarmac paths installed around the outside of the green space and nearer the equipment.

It is hoped the new solid paths will enable people to get to the playground and around the park without having to step onto wet grass, CWP have said.

The path work has been refurbished for all of the park goers, including families, school children and walkers.

However, one change which is just for the areas youngsters is the installation of new playground equipment.

As well a host of new and current apparatus, some of the equipment, like swings, have been given a new lease of life through a fresh coat of paint.

There has also been a new surface put down to make a safe area for children to play on.
