SCARY pumpkins will be well received at a Bourne End restaurant this week with owners offering the best Halloween carvers a number of prizes.
The owner of the Walnut Tree, in Hedsor Road, will celebrate a year in business by opening the competition to the public.
There will be a prize for the best three carved pumpkins and judging is due to take place on Friday, October 31.
Chef-Proprietor Chris Grego said he is looking forward to ‘being amazed by your imagination and artistic talent’ and illuminating and displaying all entrants in the days leading up to Halloween.
The Walnut Tree will also donate 25p for each pumpkin entry to the PTA committees of three nearby schools.
To enter the competition, please get your entry form from the restaurant. All entries should be handed-in between October 28 and the morning of October 31.
You can send your best pumpkin pictures to the Bucks Free Press too. Send your designs to andrew.colley@london.newsquest.co.uk
