VAUXHALL Corsas are being targeted by thieves in Princes Risborough, police have warned.

Joyriders stole one vehicle and attempted to take three more during a crime spree in the town last week.

Three of the vehicles were broken into during a spate of attempted thefts overnight between Sunday, October 12, and Monday 13.

Police said a blue Vauxhall Corsa which was stolen from Westmead was later discovered crashed into a hedgerow on Loosley Hill, Loosley Row.

Officers have warned owners of older style Vauxhall Corsas to be vigilant and take extra care where possible to prevent their vehicle being targeted.

An appeal for information from detectives investigating the break-ins has been launched by Thames Valley Police.

Anyone with information should contact Sgt Andrew Deane of Princes Risborough police station on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
