GENEROUS nursery children have raided their parents' cupboards to donate food to a Marlow charity.

As part of a project on the seasons, youngsters at First Steps First in Marlow went along to Age Concern on Glade Road to pass on their autumnal harvest crop.

And the pre-schoolers entertained the day centre by singing songs to the elderly visitors during their visit.

Nursery manager Susan Campbell-Baker said: “It was lovely to do something to be part of the community, the children were so excited.

“It was the perfect way to forge links with the community as we’ve only been here a year.”

The produce will be used chefs to whip up meals at the day centre for the elderly, which is managed by Mayor Suzanne Brown.

And the nursery, which moved to Marlow last year from Cadmore End, is already planning a return trip in time for Christmas
