FLASHBULBS popped as the world’s media descended on Bucks for what’s been dubbed the worst kept secret in Marlow – the wedding party of George and Amal Clooney.

Scores of photographers flocked to Danesfield House near Marlow hoping to catch a glimpse of some of the A list celebrities rumoured to be on the invite list.

But whereas the Clooneys’ first wedding bash in Venice was open for the whole world to see, tonight’s party at the riverside spa and hotel resort was very much a private affair.

Many of the guests – with Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie rumoured to be among them – turned up in cars with blacked-out windows to deter the paparazzi photographers who had spent most of the day swarming over the entrance to Danesfield hoping to catch a glimpse of the happy couple.

A huge marquee has been set up in the hotel’s grounds ready for tonight’s party, where the newlywed couple will toast their nuptials with friends and family.

The venue is said to have been chosen partly as it is close to the family home of former Dr Challoner’s High School pupil Amal, who is originally from Gerrards Cross.

The human rights lawyer and her actor husband are reportedly set to move in to a new house together in Sonning, Berkshire.

Danesfield House, a former stately home that has been converted into a hotel and spa, is rumoured to be block booked out for the occasion.
