Buckinghamshire County Council will be holding free try before you buy sessions next month for those interested in joining an adult learning course.

For one week only, Buckinghamshire Adult Learning will open its doors to the public so they can attend one of the classes running that week, talk to the current learners and see if it is suitable.

The wide range of courses, which includes art, craft, fitness, health and leisure, is covered by this offer, which runs from November 24 until November 28.

Mike Appleyard, Buckinghamshire County Council cabinet member for education and skills, urged people to give the courses a try.

He said: “It’s really important to keep mentally and physically active, especially as we get older.

“Adult Learning gives people the opportunity to develop their skills, acquire knowledge and grow in confidence in small and supportive tutor-led classes and we are very pleased to offer some of our courses for free so that people can try them before making a financial commitment.”

The offer is subject to availability and excludes courses at Missenden Abbey.

Booking opens on Monday. To book a place, please call 01296 383582.
