A MUSIC video has been posted online in a bid to highlight the need to stop developers building on land separating Bourne End and Wooburn Green.

Stratford Drive resident, Geoff Britt, has now created five music videos in support of keeping former reserve site Slate Meadow undeveloped.

Last week, Wycombe District Council cabinet members made the controversial decision to release the meadow and four other areas of land for development.

The 69-year-old first used his musical talents in the 1990s to voice resident’s fears over original plans to develop the area.

He said: “I have lived next to Slate Meadow for 46 years, and I cannot believe they are considering this area for development.

“I first used my music to share my feelings in about 1997 when they talked about developing it; and I have now carried on since its ugly heard reared up again.

“I live quite near the village green section of the meadow which they cannot build on.

“However, we are all affected by the flooding from the meadow and this will only get worse if they build 175-odd houses on it.

“The traffic around here is also really bad and that will only get worse.”

So far only one of his videos has been posted online, but he plans to upload others soon.

His latest video, entitled ‘Why did you do it?’ was written this week after WDC made their decision.

Mr Britt said: “It doesn’t take too long to come up with the videos, I quite enjoy doing them. I am hoping to get the others online soon.”
