A South Bucks town pulled out all the stops for some special foreign visitors last month.
The Beaconsfield Twinning Association welcomed 18 people from the French commune, Langres, and showed them the highlights of the town.
As well a walk around the miniature world of Bekonscot, the Mayor of Langres was also invited by Mayor of Beaconsfield, Steve Jones, to help light the Round Table firework display at Beaconsfield Cricket Club.
The guests also enjoyed a civic reception in the Town Hall, with a number of gifts from the area presented to them.
To mark the event, they then visited the Free French memorial in Shepherds Lane, Beaconsfield, which marks the lives of the Free French who convalesced there.
Outside the BBC Broadcasting House, in London.
The Twinning Association also took their French friends to London for a day and they enjoyed a tour of BBC Broadcasting House and a walk around Kensington Palace and a stop at the Tower of London.
