Residents can take a step back in time with a visit to a new vintage tea room in Princes Risborough.

Margaret and Danny Clifford, from Speen, opened their vintage tea room on Monday, November 24.

The couple invited residents to celebrate the opening with champagne and cake. The fully licensed tea room, in Duke Street, is open from 9.30am to 11pm and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The traditional menu includes vintage cream teas with homemade cakes, sandwiches and scones and mini cupcakes.

Visitors can even add a little sophistication to their day with a glass of sparkling champagne.

The 1930s themed tea room even has a baby grand piano and staff wear traditional black and white outfits.

Deputy Mayor, Wally Woolf and his wife Doreen cut the ribbon at the grand opening, officially declaring the tea room open for business.

Mrs Clifford has previously run a coffee shop in Bourne End called The Little Coffee House.

She said: “The opening was really good, it went so well. It is early days but business has been steady so far.

“It is so unique and very unusual; it’s like stepping back in time when you come through the doors.”
