A Saunderton charity is celebrating after dog lovers across Bucks helped raise thousands for a new vehicle.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, based in Wycombe Road, launched a public crowdfunding campaign in the summer, to raise £15,000 to buy a new vehicle, affectionately called the pup-mobile.

The brand new vehicle will transport puppies-in-training, hearing dog trainers, deaf people with hearing dogs and the hearing dog display team all across the UK.

With help from dog loving Bucks Free Press and South Bucks Star readers, the pup-mobile is now on the road.

Rebekah Moorcroft, fundraising executive for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, said: “We are delighted to reveal our new vehicle and would like to thank the residents of Buckinghamshire for all their help and support. The pup-mobile looks absolutely fantastic - and is covered in paw prints and images of our gorgeous hearing dog puppies!

“We’d also like to thank Hyundai in High Wycombe for their generous support with this project. We are looking forward to taking our amazing new pup-mobile out on the road.”
