A three-car collision outside the Royal Grammar School yesterday led to the Amersham Road being closed while paramedics helped a woman with back injuries, it has now been confirmed.

South Central Ambulance Service was called to the collision shortly after 4.30pm and they have today said a female had to be taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

Although her current condition has not been confirmed, it is understood no-one else was injured.

Thames Valley Police and Bucks Fire and Rescue were also in attendance with the former closing the road at about 5.50pm as fire crews and paramedics tended to the injured woman.

Officers confirmed the road was reopened later yesterday evening.
