Baby Ollie James Christian surprised his parents by announcing his early entry into the world at a High Wycombe restaurant.

Loudwater couple Nicola Whapshott and Robbie Christian's new son was delivered one week premature, exactly 12 hours after she surprised diners at Frankie and Benny’s in Cressex when her waters broke there.

The couple’s first child was born at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on Monday, December 29, weighing 6lbs 12oz - exactly the same weight as his mother was when she was born.

This week Nicola said: "My waters broke in Frankie and Benny's restaurant at 5.15pm just after we placed an order for our dinner.

"There was a slight panic in the restaurant and then we had to cancel our meal and rush home - 12 hours later at 5.15am Ollie was born."

She added: "He's doing really well and being a typical hungry boy."

The couple had some pictures taken by Buckinghamshire-based photographer Tom Hampson.
