1. Austerity pleasures
Host Ben Morgan will be delivering astute political observations as well as brilliant word play. He’ll be introducing top comedic talent, including Don Biswas, a master of the one liner, and finding the humour in his day to day life, as well as political and topical jokes. He is joined by Richard Coughlan, an energetic, no-holds-barred comedian who will be sharing his views on the world. Headline act Joe Wells has toured across the country with Alexi Sayle and is tipped for the top. His show, Night of the Living Tories, has been critically acclaimed for its intelligent comedy. 2. Big Band Dance Night
Big Band Dance Night and The Down for the Count Swing Orchestra return to the Waterside for another celebration of Big Band and Swing music. 4. Nate Simpson
Nate Simpson is an emerging UK singer/songwriter with a soulful, classic voice. His rare, timeless style sees him display raw passion and emotion at every performance. Former Desborough School student Nate’s band, Simpson, blends classic pop music with soul, funk, acoustic and jazz. Simpson will be supported by Clayton Bryant and Sam Brett. New York bred Clayton sings pop, rock and soul, has toured and recorded with Sir Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and Darlene Love. Local talent Sam hails from Maidenhead. His acoustic sound is influenced by artists including Lucy Rose, Ed Sheeran and James Morrison. 5. Kashmiri night
