Another 30 cars have been left with smashed windows and sprayed with graffiti after a second night of “mindless” vandalism struck Wycombe yesterday.

Sometime between 7pm and 10pm last night, the vehicles were set upon in roads on the Cressex, Booker and Sands estates.

One of the damaged cars is understood to be a police vehicle.

The vandalism follows a previous spree the night before, when 23 vehicles were damaged in similar areas.

Police say they have stepped up patrols in these areas in a bid to curb further outbreaks.

It is thought the vandalism is connected to the verdict of an inquest into the death of Habib Ullah, which concluded on Monday.

The graffiti reads ‘NJNP’ – thought to stand for ‘No Justice, No Peace’.

Supt Ed Mclean LPA Commander for Wycombe said: “I would like to reassure the community that we will have additional resources patrolling the area to prevent further crimes of this nature taking place.

“We would also ask residents to remain vigilant and immediately report sightings of anti-social and suspicious behaviour to police. This will help us to identify who is behind these mindless acts of criminality targeting innocent members of the public.

“You can call Thames Valley Police on 101 or if it is an emergency then please dial 999.”

At the close of a month-long inquest into the death of Habib ‘Paps’ Ullah this week, a jury returned a conclusion of misadventure with a narrative verdict.

Mr Ullah, 39, died after a package containing crack cocaine became lodged in his throat during a restraint by Thames Valley Police officers in Sharrow Vale, in High Wycombe, on July 3, 2008.

TVP confirmed after the conclusion of the inquest that the officers involved now face a gross misconduct hearing over their actions.

Mr Ullah's family have also lodged civil action against Thames Valley Police.

Police have stressed they are aware that campaign organisers representing the family of Mr Ullah have stated they do not support the criminal activity of the last two nights.

If you have any information about these incidents then please contact the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101 quoting URN 1261 3/3.

Four men aged 26, 27,19 and18 from High Wycombe have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in connection with Tuesday night’s cases of criminal damage and have been released on bail. Officers say that at this time no one has been arrested in connection with last night’s vandalism.
