David Walliams presented a hat-trick of “pub Oscar” awards to the owners of a restaurant in Beaconsfield last week.

Oakman Inns and Restaurants, which owns the Beech House, in Penn Road, collected the three awards last Monday – including for the Best Community Pub Operator.

Peter Borg-Neal, CEO, was given the awards from the former Little Britain star and comedian during the annual Publican Awards ceremony, held in London’s Park Lane.

The company was also acknowledged as the Best Pub Employer and awarded the Best New Pub/ Bar for the Beech House’s namesake in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

The success comes after they were named in the top third of The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.

Oakman Inns’ director, Joseph Evans, said: “This is the second year that we have won multiple categories at The Publican Awards and it was great that we could have so many of our young and enthusiastic management team to celebrate with us.

“It is always a thrill when the company’s hard work is recognised, but it is especially so when it’s by one’s peers and industry leaders.”
