The sky was smiling over Stokenchurch as a resident captured a picture of a rare upside down rainbow.
Jo Cook, who lives off Marlow Road, captured the picture of a rare Circumzenithal arc while standing in her garden at around 3pm on March 13.
She said: “My son was playing football outside when he called me and said mum what is that, why is it upside down?
“I’m quite into things like that so I had seen pictures of them before, but I was most impressed to see one over Stokenchurch. I took a picture of it on my phone, it was really lovely and bright.”
A Circumzenithal arc forms when sunlight refracts through ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, most likely in cirrus or cirrostratus clouds.
