Baby lambs took centre stage at an agricultural open day as a college showcased its range of courses for next year.

Berkshire College of Agriculture welcomed visitors to its 450-acre campus in Burchetts Green, near Maidenhead, earlier this month, with teams leading a series of interactive displays and demonstrations.

And tours of the college’s Animal Centre - recently featured on the BBC’s Countryfile - gave a glimpse at over 2000 animals from 140 species which can be seen when it opens to the public later this year.

BCA’s assistant principal for land, Liz Hadden, said: “We have had a really successful day providing specialist one to one advice to people interested in pursuing a career with a difference.

“Many young people we are seeing are keen to follow their passion and work in an environment they love and today we were able to show how possible that is.

“We also saw many adults who would like to change their careers and again follow their passion.”
