Princes Risborough's police station will close to members of the public this week.
Thames Valley Police has made the decision to shut the front counter of the station, based in Longwick Road, due to increased running costs.
Tomorrow will be the final day the station counter will be open to residents. The nearest police stations to the town which will continue to operate a counter service will be in High Wycombe and Aylesbury.
The Thames Valley Police website said: "The decision to make the closure is due to the running costs, the lack of people using the facility, plus the recent changes in technology and document processing which has negated the need for a person to attend a police station."
