Police are appealing for help stamping out an unusual crime - the theft of an antique Royal Mail post box near Chesham.
The distinctive red pillar box was ripped out of a wall in Buckland Common over the weekend.
The unusual theft is not part and parcel of the Thames Valley Police neighbourhood team's normal day - and they have made an appeal to the public to help them deliver a result and bring the thieves to justice.
The theft is a potentially lucrative one due to the value of the metal, and officers will no doubt be looking from pillar to post in a bid to recover it.
Anyone with information on the incident should contact the Chesham neighbourhood policing team on 101.
