Keen medical students in Beaconsfield discovered more about Buckinghamshire’s NHS during a talk from a healthcare expert last month.
A group of Year 11 and sixth form students from the Beaconsfield High School Medical Society listened to Dr Dal Sahota, the Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Group’s Director for Maternity, Newborn and Children's Services on Monday, March 16.
Headteacher of the Wattleton Road school, Annette France, said: “It's very important that pupils learn more about how local NHS services are funded, who is responsible for running them, and the services available to keep teenagers fit and healthy.
“This event is part of the pupils' extra curriculum activities at the school but a valuable way of improving their understanding and knowledge of the NHS.”
