A WYCOMBE HIGH School pupil was the victim of a happy slapping' attack when she was assaulted outside the school gates by a youth whose friend filmed the incident on a mobile phone.

The pupil was targeted at the school's bus stop, at around 4pm, by another girl who slapped her in the face. It is believed a boy who was in the attacker's gang had filmed the incident with a mobile phone.

“This is not a situation that we have encountered previously.”

Sally Jarrett, Deputy Head

The incident has emerged following a letter sent to parents on March 2, informing them that the attack had been reported to police.

The school has denounced the assault, which happened on Thursday March 1, and said that the girl, described as an older student, was not seriously injured. It added that she was not a sixth former.

Sally Jarrett, deputy to headteacher Jane Wainwright, told the Free Press: "One of our older students was slapped by another girl and was intimidated by the other girl's group of friends, one of whom appears to have recorded the incident on his mobile phone.

"Neither the girl who slapped our student, nor her group of friends attend Wycombe High School.

"This is not a situation that we have encountered previously."

Mrs Jarrett said the girl travelled home safely after the incident in Marlow Road, High Wycombe. She said the school was not aware what school the attacker or her friends were from.

In the letter she told parents: "The incident was witnessed by a number of girls, many of whom will have found it upsetting. Please be assured that the school is aware of the incident and is in contact with both the police and neighbouring schools.

"Two senior members of staff are on duty outside the school at the end of every day.

"If your daughter has any concerns she should either speak to the member of staff on duty or come back into school and report to reception."

Mrs Jarrett praised the students and parents who had rung in after the attack to check the victim was okay.

Pierre du Bois, communications manager for Thames Valley Police, confirmed police were investigating a common assault near the school.

Whilst I agree that happy slapping is a despicable and cowardly act, I hardly think that this is a problem that can be attributed to 'undesirables who have been let into thsi country'. Allow me to qualify that statement by saying that I am certainly not a bleeding heart liberal and that i object as much as anyone to the level of immigration and loss of national identity in this once great country. However, we are getting a bit 'Daily Mail' with this hysteria that says immigrants are to blame for everything. I personally think that there is just a general lack of discipline and respect amongst young people that is a result of this awful government and their PC assertions that it is wrong to discipline children and suchlike. Personally, if I had children and I found out that one of them had happy slapped someone, tehy would get the hiding of their life, whether it was considered PC or not. Parental apathy bought about by political correctness has an awful lot to answer for.

Peter,

I quite agree that there are many facets to this phenomenon, but i chose to focus on what for me is the key issue, as i did not feel that i could dissect the subject fully here without

a)running out of space
and
b)boring you senseless!

However i agree entirely with your points but I would argue that all of the points you mention, slobs breeding et al can be attributed to political correctness and the current governments favourite buzzword 'human rights'. it is against the human rights of human parasites to make them work and contribute to society, it is against their human rights to tell them that they are responsible for their child's discipline and it's against the human rigts of the child to give them a **** good striping if they act like a malevolent little turd!

Also, on the subject of vigilantism, I wholeheartedly support the concept as it appears that it represents the only way to get anything done in the wet, liberal, simpering, hand wringing abomination that this country has become.

You people make me sick. You try to blame the government and immigrants for everything these days, but it is the parents fault.

If i had done somethign like this when i was young and had been caguht i could expect a good hiding at the least, and anything else after that was going to be down hill.

The parents are at fault for the way children behave these days, not anyone else. And those of you saying "If it were my children" how do you know it isnt your children ?

You like to think it is the kid up the road who smokes and stays out after 10pm, but it is your children as well when you arent around.

I would loev one of them to happy slap me, cos i would laugh at it and then beat the sh*t out of them so they learn their lesson, and if there was more than one, i would finish up and start on them too.

The sooner kids learn that they have no rights at all until they are 18, can pay their taxes, vote, and be responsible for thier own actions, the better.

What reason is there to suppose that it was an immigrant who was responsible for the attack?

Oh i get it, because i dared to suggest it was anything other than immigrants that caused the problem i am an idiot.

Peter Knight is a f***** moron if i am totally honest. If you think that as a parent i would be brain washed into doing or thinking as the government tells me then you are a double F***** moron.

If people actually bothered to check what their kids have been up to they would know whether they were involved in things they shouldnt have been. But nooooooooooo, its never your kid is it, and when it is proven to be them, its someone elses fault like the government perhaps. If you had the ability to think past things being everyone elses fault you may see a few home truths spring up and happy slap you until you realise, the only person to blame is yourself.

Children need discipline and if i had my way i would recall National Service to teach that very considerate and polite age range of 17 - 21 that currently exists, the value of thinking of others, communuity and team spirit, and above all else, the bigger picture that life doesnt revolve purely around one individual. They could learn to develop skills other than "happy slapping" that might benefit themselves and others around them
