Police are hunting a man who slashed the face of a passer-by in Marlow, leaving him with a serious cut to the face in an unprovoked attack.
At 10pm on Sunday, the attacker barged past a man in his forties while he was walking along Station Road between Carvells Newsagents and the Marlow Donkey Pub.
After speaking to the man, the thug turned arond and slashed his face, causing a serious cut to his cheek which was treated at Wexham Park Hospital. He has since been discharged.
The suspect is male, 6ft, and was wearing a dark charcoal-coloured hooded top and dark trousers.
Det Con Chris Hatton from High Wycombe Force CID, is appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
