A trip of a lifetime to see the northern lights over Iceland is one of a raft of prizes up for grabs at a silent auction hosted by Marlow’s mayor tomorrow.
The auction will follow the annual golf day, which sees mayor Suzanne Brown take on challengers to raise money for her nominated charities – and securing bragging rights for the winner over the next year.
After 18 holes on the Harleyford course competing for a range of honours, teams will enjoy a three-course dinner at the clubhouse.
Last year’s winners of the coveted Mayor’s Cup were Scorpio Electrics.
Other auctions prizes include a three-course meal at Gordon Ramsey’s Savoy Hotel restaurant, a trip to next year’s Monaco Grand Prix and a luxury sailing day.
Cllr Brown, a former ladies captain at Hennerton Golf Club in Wargrave, is raising cash for Marlow Opportunity Playgroup and Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.
