A research foundation which aims to raise £80,000 every year in memory of a teenager, who died in 2013, will receive all of the donations from the Mayor of Beaconsfield’s charity film night, this week.
Organised by current mayor, councillor Steve Jones, and the Alexander Jansons Foundation, the event will be hosted by the National Film and Television School on Thursday.
Tickets are available for £20 and money will be used in a bid to fund the group’s research into Myocarditis, the heart condition which led to the death of 18-year-old Alexander as he walked back to his home in Penn.
This is the foundations second year of fundraising, having eclipsed their £80,000 target by £3,000 in 2014.
The Hundred-Foot Journey is the film which will be showing on Thursday evening from 7.15pm.
Tickets are available from organiser Patricia Dean on 01494 679971 or patricia@alexanderjansonsfoundation.org
