Two people have been arrested after police stopped a car on the M40 near Beaconsfield and discovered 500 litres of diesel which they say the occupants could not account for.
Police stopped the car on the motorway on Tuesday, May 5, and have since arrested the pair on suspicion of theft.
A 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both from Hillingdon, London, were arrested on suspicion of theft and have been bailed until 6 June.
Police say the driver was also driving without a driving licence, insurance or an MOT and the vehicle had false licence plates.
