A man has been arrested on suspicion of a firearm offence following a disturbance in Burnham overnight.
Officers were called to an address in Dorney Wood Road, Burnham at 11.43pm following a number of calls reporting loud bangs which sounded like gunshots.
In addition there were reports of someone shouting abuse.
Police attended an address in Dorney Wood Road and arrested a man at the property.
Nobody was reported injured. A small number of firearms were seized from the property.
Det Sgt Tracey Benham, the investigating officer, said:”I would like to thank the local residents for alerting us to this disturbance.
"It took place on private property and thankfully nobody was injured in what appears to be an isolated incident. We would also like to thank them for their patience as we dealt with the matter.”
A 46-year-old man, who is from Burnham, is currently in custody.
