Firefighters closed a busy main road in High Wycombe after a blaze in a first-floor flat this morning.
Two fire crews, one from High Wycombe and another from Beaconsfield, were called to the scene in West Wycombe Road at 9.26am.
They used one hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the fire.
The A40 Oxford Road was closed in both directions from Sainsbury’s supermarket to the junction of Bellfield Road, The Pastures and Desborough Avenue, but police are starting to reopen it.
