The Met Office have issued a yellow wind warning for Buckinghamshire on Monday and Tuesday.

The warning was issued at 8.28am this morning for London and South East England, including Bucks, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire, Greater London, Reading, Windsor and Maidenhead.

Wind and rain is expected from 2pm this afternoon and the warning is likely to remain in place until 6pm tomorrow evening.

The Met Office says that disruption to transport is likely and there could be damage to trees.

Bucks Fire and Rescue have advised drivers to take extra care on wet or flooded roads and to watch out for fallen trees and other debris.

Keith Wheeler, Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service's road safety manager, said: "Check local traffic reports to see if the route is clear before you make your journey, and avoid travelling during the worst of the weather if you can.

"Take great care when driving while it’s still dark in areas that you know have flooded or been affected by severe weather on previous occasions, and please don't ignore diversion and road closure signs."
