Rowing veterans proved age is no barrier to success after winning gold at the British Rowing Masters Championship.
Andrew Burton, Jonathon Haydock, David Plaskett and John Driscoll only took up the sport in 2013 as part of Marlow Rowing Club’s Learn to Row scheme.
But - after training four times a week in all weather - they stormed to success in the 60-65 year group of the Novice Coxed Fours and also beat all younger finalists in the 55-60 category.
They plan to compete at Burway, Henley and Maidenhead regattas before taking a well-earned end of season break.
