Tributes have poured in for ‘talented’ and ‘bright’ Teal David, who was tragically killed after being hit by a tractor on Saturday.

Six-year-old Teal, who was a pupil at Frieth Church of England Combined School, died in a collision with a tractor in North Wales on June 27.

It is believed that Teal’s father Evan was driving the tractor at the time of the tragedy, regional and national newspapers reported.

Teal, who turned six on May 27 and has two siblings, suffered fatal injuries in the collision on an unclassified road in Aberdaron at around 8.38am.

It is believed that Teal, who lived in Henley-on-Thames, was on holiday with her family when the incident happened.

Teal’s father, Evan David, who runs NorCal Veterinary Services in Thame, paid tribute to his daughter in a message posted on his website.

He said: “My family and I would like to thank you all for the love and support you have shown us following the tragic death of our lovely daughter Teal.

“The support has been amazing and we are very grateful and appreciative. Once again thank you for your kind words, support and love at this very difficult time.”

Family and friends will be wearing colourful clothes to celebrate Teal’s life at an open ceremony at Hambleden Church, followed by a reception at St. Katherine’s, Parmoor.

Cllr Sam Webb, who lives in Hambleden, said: "On behalf of Hambleden Parish Council, our love, thoughts and condolences are with Teal's family after this terrible tragedy."

The latest tributes follow a statement from Mrs Jo Reid, Headteacher of Frieth Church of England Combined School, who praised the "positive, enthusiastic, caring, talented, bright pupil."

The tragic incident is currently under investigation by North Wales Police.
