The female cyclist injured in a collision with a car in Amersham on Sunday morning is in hospital with serious head injuries. 

The crash, involving a red Honda CR-V, happened on the A355 at Gore Hill at around 9am on July 5.

Both the car and the cyclist were travelling in the same direction towards Beaconsfield. 

The cyclist, aged in her forties, is being treated at John Radcliffe Hospital. 

PC Richard Martin, from Roads Policing and Tactical Support based in Amersham, said: “The female cyclist involved in this collision sustained serious head injuries.

"We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the red Honda CV in the area at the time.”
