Police are hunting a driver who drove off after hitting and injuring a man on the road between Marlow and High Wycombe in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers were called just after 12.30am after a man was seen lying by the side of Wycombe Road by Burroughs Grove Hill.
The 20-year-old man was found with lacerations to his legs, with an ambulance taking him to Wexham Park Hospital. He has since been discharged.
It is believed the man was injured after being hit by a passing vehicle which failed to stop at the scene.
Investigating officer, PC Rachel Miller based at High Wycombe Police Station said she wants to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle or the incident.
