Flowers and heartfelt messages have been left at the scene for a woman who died in a car crash near Coleshill this week.

A 29-year old female driver died in a collision involving three cars on the A355 Amersham Road at around 6.36pm on Tuesday evening.

Floral tributes have been placed at the side of the road, with written tributes addressed to “Ally”, although the identity of the woman has not yet been officially released.

One heartfelt message read: “You were a truly inspirational girl who will leave a huge hole in our hearts. We will be thinking of you always. Our thoughts go out to your family to have lost such an amazing person.”

Another said: “R.I.P Ally until we see you all again. Mum and Dad xxxxx”

Another floral tribute had a picture attached, while a further said: “To Ally, lots of love, forever in my heart, love you. RIP xxxx”

While the identity of the female driver has not yet been released, Buckinghamshire Coroner's Court confirmed they were handling the case.

A man who was driving one of the other vehicles was flown to the Royal London Hospital by London Air Ambulance where, at the time of publication, he remains in a stable but serious condition.

The driver of a third vehicle was not injured.

The latest tragic incident is understood to be the fourth fatality on the A355 in the past year.

In November last year, two childhood friends were killed in a crash on the A355 Whippas Hill, near Beaconsfield.

Driver Daniel Horton and passenger Aaron Savin, both 21, died at the scene at around 10.30pm after the car they were travelling in collided with a silver Ford on the other side of the road.

In January this year, 45-year-old Benjamin Morbey from Ilford in Essex died on the A355 near Beaconsfield after his car left the road and hit a tree.

Mr Morbey’s black Vauxhall Vectra struck a tree on the northbound carriageway between Farnham Royal and Beaconsfield in the early hours of Sunday, January 28.

Cllr Alan Hardie, Penn and Coleshill representative on Chiltern District Council, said the volume of traffic on the road means it can be dangerous.

He said: “It really is a terrible road. There is a very heavy volume of traffic on the A355 as it is the main road between Beaconsfield and Amersham. It is incredibly sad that someone died this week, but frankly I am not surprised. There have been many accidents on this road this year. Two young lads died here just last year.”

Cllr Julie Burton, who represents the Penn and Coleshill ward and lives in Coleshill, uses the A355 regularly. She said: “I was very upset when I heard that someone had died. It is quite a dangerous road and it has dangerous bends and junctions.

“It is a very nasty road but I am not sure what can be done about it.”
