A host of celebrities are set to open a summer show in aid of a hearing dogs charity next week.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is holding its annual late summer show next Sunday and Eastenders legend, Pam St Clement will be joining former Blue Peter presenter Tim Vincent and TV’s Marc the Vet on the day.

Pam St Clement, who is perhaps best known as playing Pat Butcher in the BBC soap until 2012, is a long-term supporter and has been the face of many of the charity’s appeals.

Actor and TV presenter Tim Vincent and star of TV’s Daybreak, Marc Abraham, will also be at the family fun event at The Grange on September 13.

Melanie Tyrer, events manager for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, said she is delighted that some of their celebrity supporters will be opening the show.

She said: “We are thrilled that three of our celebrity supporters will be opening our biggest show of the year, and we look forward to welcoming Pam St Clement, Tim Vincent and Marc Abraham to our beautiful grounds.

“The celebrities will also be judging our dog show class, ‘waggiest tail’, so we hope to see lots of visitors and their four-legged friends in the morning.

“Our Late Summer Show promises to be a fun day out for all the family.”

On the day, there will be a Kids Zone, classic car display and a variety of food stalls. Visitors can also enter their own dogs into their all-day fun dog show, watch the demonstration team in action and meet the centre’s puppies and hearing dogs.

The event will run from 11am to 4pm. admission costs £4 for children and £7 for adults.
