Schoolchildren helped pack shoppers' bags at a supermarket to raise money to help families affected by rare genetic conditions last week.
Students at The Highcrest Academy, in High Wycombe, were happy to offer their help to customers at Sainsbury’s in Oxford Road on Friday.
After selecting the Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases as their charity this year, the youngsters helped raise £158.26 through bag packing and bucket collections.
Teacher Amy Jordan said: “The fundraising was a huge success and many shoppers afterwards went out of their way to praise our students for being polite, helpful and so knowledgeable on the charity we were helping.
“We are proud to be raising money for such a good cause.”
Emma Henry, from the charity, said: “The MPS Society is absolutely thrilled with the money raised from Friday’s bag pack, and we are so grateful to the students from Highcrest Academy for taking the time to fundraise for us at Sainsbury’s.”
