Chesham has successfully renewed its FairTrade Town status for two years, a decade after it was first awarded to the town.
Chesham4Fairtrade revealed its plans to promote FairTrade to more community groups and businesses and to put on a wide range of events ‘FairTrade Fortnight’ in February 2016.
Kathryn Graves, Chesham4Fairtrade's Secretary, said: "It's the icing on the Fairtrade cake that we've obtained Fairtrade Town status yet again.
“It proves that our community cares about the impact its shopping choices have on people around the world. Here's to another 10 years!"
Adam Gardner, Communities Campaigns Manager at the Fairtrade Foundation, said: “Thanks to the ongoing support of the public and campaigners, an increasing number of farmers in developing countries are now getting a stable income and the chance to trade their way out of poverty.”
