More than 30 people will be abseiling down a church in Harpenden for Christian Aid.
The event, which has been organised by the Parish of Harpenden, is raising money to tackle poverty.
The abseil will take place down the tower at St Nicholas Church in Church Green on Saturday, October 17 from 10am.
Rector Dennis Stamps, who will be doing his abseil at 1.30pm, said: "We are hoping to raise more than £3,000 and there are some people who are doing the abseil with the pants on the outside for fun."
