Every week in the Bucks Free Press we take a look at some of the great countryside pubs in the county and this week we visit Marlow...

The Queens Head, or ‘Marlow’s little secret’ is a unique country pub in the heart of Little Marlow on Pound Lane.

The pub, owned by Daniel O’Sullivan form High Wycombe, prides itself on cooking fresh food which is locally sourced.

And the menu changes every six to eight weeks keeping in line with what food is in season and available locally.

The unique dish of the moment is the steamed local venison syrup pudding, which is a popular choice among the locals.

Food is available 12noon to 2.30pm and 6.30pm to 9:30pm Monday to Friday.

On Saturday to Sunday, food is served from 2pm to 4pm and 6.30pm to 9:30pm.

Drinks are served until 11pm every day.

Dogs are not allowed in The Queens Head.
