Hundreds of happy children and their families enjoyed the Star Wars-themed Christmas lights switch-on in High Wycombe last night.
Organisers were successful in their aim to take the town out of “the dark side” with the dazzling lights illuminating the town.
Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers may have taken centre stage, but organisers ensured there was something for everyone with live music, street food market, Santa’s grotto and fun fair also on offer in a bid to start the Christmas cheer early this year.
Planned by the High Wycombe Business Improvement District Company the event started from 4pm, with the lights turned on at 6.45pm in front of an excited crowd.
